My name is Charlotte Dab and I am 18 years old. I’m in Arts & Culture and this is my last semester before I go off to university. I don’t know what career I want to pursue, but what I do know is that I want a good foundation in English and History. McGill or UBC are the universities that I’ve applied to.
As for my knowledge in cinema, my father used to work in film production so I’ve been raised watching movies. Battleship Potemkin, at the age of seven, was my introduction. His knowledge also includes a wide variety of international films.
My hobbies include going to the movies, reading, horseback riding, badminton… And doing crosswords. I’m a major perfectionist and a hard worker. As a matter of fact, my father tells me to spend less time doing homework and more time watching movies.
I am looking forward to this class because the content is very interesting. My father read through the course outline and was very impressed with the material. Now I can finally have some discussions about cultural movies with my father.
