Self-Evaluation

  • If I had to give myself a grade based on this class, I would give myself a 95%.
  • As you probably have noticed, I am a very quiet and reserved student who is nonetheless hardworking, devoted and studious. I did make an effort to participate in the conversations that we had during class time. When we did group work, I was always engaged and thus spoke more because of the smaller groups.
  • In regards to punctuality and absences, I never missed one class, and always came on time. I always submitted my homework and blog postings before the due date.
  • The remaining 5% is due to the fact that I did not always answer questions. I sometimes knew the answer or had an idea to contribute, but I would be to shy.
  • I also did more than what was required of me. Every class, I took the initiative to write up some notes and post them on my blog. In addition, for homework assignments, I sometimes would do more than one postings. I enjoyed what we were given to do and was encouraged to do more because I had so many different ideas.
  • After class, I would always take time to review and read through the notes that I had taken. I also elaborated and did some extra research if I was not too clear about a point that was covered.
  • I especially enjoyed this class because of the interesting concepts and theories that I’ve learned. I also find that I am able to apply these studies while watching films. I’ve learned enough theory to have an intellectual conversation with my father. I still have a lot to learn in terms of film theory, and if I have the opportunity to take a class like this in university, I would certainly choose it. This being said the teacher would have to be as passionate as you!

Have a wonderful summer!
